Two wardrobes that shouldn’t work together somehow do. Gap and Parisian label A.P.C. have revealed a 37-piece collaboration that drops tomorrow, blending American sportswear basics with French restraint, anchored by denim made from premium Japanese fabric.
The Gap x A.P.C. collection spans men’s and women’s clothing plus accessories, with prices running from $28 to $328. Men’s highlights include a Denim Jacket and Relaxed Straight Jeans in Japanese denim priced under $200. Women’s fits pair Gap’s rigid 100% cotton denim, including the High Rise Stride and Low Rise ’90s Loose cuts, with a sculptural Shaped Denim Jacket and an Icon Denim Jacket lined with archive-inspired graphics.
Paris meets Americana
Beyond denim, the capsule stretches into tailored outerwear, Oxford shirting, knitwear and mod-influenced matching sets in cashmere, wool and corduroy. Sailor stripes run throughout, alongside an Extra Heavyweight Hoodie and accessories carrying a reworked Gap arch logo reset in A.P.C.’s signature minimal typography.
The campaign film, The Long Way, was shot on location in Montmartre and stars rapper ian and DJ Paloma Le Friant, framing the collection as a meeting of two cities’ casual codes.
The release lands during New York Fashion Week season, when American sportswear is having a strong moment. Calvin Klein’s Spring 2027 show under Veronica Leoni turned American minimalism sleek and sensual just days ago, and Gap x A.P.C. pushes in a similar direction at a friendlier price.
How to get it
The collection launches at 9 a.m. ET on Friday, September 18, 2026 through Gap’s website, A.P.C.’s Mercer Street store in New York and select Gap locations across the US and Canada, with global distribution across Japan, Europe and the UK. Gap Encore members and cardmembers get early access starting September 17.
