Editorial Policy & Corrections

Trendy Brief News is an independent digital news site covering world news, politics, business, technology, science, health, sports and entertainment. This page explains how we report, source and correct our stories.

Sourcing

Every story is based on identifiable sources: official statements, court filings, peer-reviewed research, reputable news organizations or on-the-record interviews. We name and link the original source in the article so readers can check it themselves. When we build on another outlet’s reporting, we credit that outlet.

Accuracy and fairness

We aim to separate facts from claims. Allegations are reported as allegations, research findings are described with their limits, and people or organizations facing serious claims are given the chance to respond, or we report their public response.

Images

Featured images are public domain, used under a free license, or supplied by the organization in the story. Each image is credited with its author and license.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date of the change. To report an error, use our contact page and include the article link and what needs correcting.

Independence

Advertising, if shown on the site, never influences what we cover or how we cover it. Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labeled.
